1. One reason why they rejected his invention is because he broke all the laws. The second reason is because, he worked on it alone. Third reason is because, it would bring the department of candles down, and the forth and final reason is because, it would wreck the Plans of the World Council.
ReplyDeleteHe did break all the laws and he was about to be sent back to the palace of corrective detention. Great point Keira!!
DeleteI agree he would wreck every thing for the council.
DeleteI agree Kiera! He did break all the laws and worked on it without his brothers.
Delete1. He is a street sweeper, he made it by himself and it is against the laws, it scared them, what is thought by all men cannot be true.
ReplyDelete2. They are frightened; the prospect of a new light that they have not made scares them.
Good job. I pretty much had the same ideas of why they didn't accept the invention.
Delete3. He feels free. Like no one can tell him what to do and when to do it.
ReplyDelete3. Equality feels relieved to finally be where he can think for himself and not what everybody else wants him to think.
ReplyDeleteI agree! If I was Equality, I would definitely feel relieved to be away from the strict rules of The Council.
DeleteAgreed, If I was him I'd feel relieved too!
Delete1. The reasons they said were they thought that Equality felt like they had minds that held greater wisdom that their brothers, they held themselves as one alone with the thought of one and not of the many, thinking that they could be greater use to men than in sweeping the streets, and they said the candle is stronger than any light.
ReplyDelete3. They don't feel doomed. They don't care anymore, and they're just tired.
2. Some reasons that the Council rejected and feared the gift were that Equality was a Street Sweeper and not a Scholar, he worked on the project alone, it was not thought by all men so it must not be true, one other reason was that the box interfered with the Department of Candles, and the Department of Candles took many years to make a plan, so the plan could not be altered so soon.
ReplyDelete3. When Equality enters the Uncharted Forest, he does not feel doomed. He feels free and not under control.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your answer.
Delete1. The first reason why Equality's idea was rejected is because he was only a Street Sweeper, which means the job he does in no way means he needed to work with the light. The second reason is because The Council thought equality felt he had a mind of greater wisdom that all his brothers. The third reason was because if the light bulb was used by everyone, the Department of Candles would no longer be needed. The fourth reason is because Equality told them that he came up with the idea alone, and no brother can think for themselves.
ReplyDelete2. The Council rejects Equality's invention because they fear that he could take all the power they have away from them with the very important discovery he made. Electricity would be a very beneficial invention for them, so Equality would most likely become famous for being the one to discover it.
The 4 reasons the council rejected his invention are...
ReplyDelete1. He was a street sweeper.
2. It would cause the candle making to decline.
3. He worked on it alone.
4. It can not be true unless all men agree.
True, and they really have no clue how it works so they could be scared of it.
Delete2. They feared that if a street sweeper could make something this valuable what could other people make. Also this great invention would take out the Department of Candles, and change the world council completely.
ReplyDelete3. When he goes to the uncharted forest he feels like he can finally be his own person.
I strongly agree with what you have for number 2. I never would of thought about the Department of Candles. Good job!
Delete1.Equality is a street sweeper, invention is useless, wrecks the plans of the world council, and lightens the toil of men and has evil.
ReplyDelete3. When he enters the forest he feels free and calm.
Equality does not feel doomed in the forest because he is free and is no longer forced to believe like everybody else. He can think for himself now and make as many inventions as he wants.
ReplyDelete2. They are mainly frightened because they have no clue what this invention could do. They feel as if it could harm them.
ReplyDelete3. When Equality enters the Uncharted Forest he feels free not doomed.
That's true, but I think they also fear what the councils would think.
DeleteGood Detail Logan!
ReplyDelete3. he feels free more than he is doomed.
ReplyDelete2. they are frightened
They were frightened of it but they were frightened of it because it goes against what the laws of the council that you cant do anything alone. If they did accept the invention others may go against there laws and think for themselves.
Delete1. The council rejected the invention because they didn't know how it worked and therefore were scared of it, and it took years for candles to be approved by all the council members. The new invention would replace the candles and put the candle makers out of work. Also the council may know this invention is from the unmentionable times before the great rebirth.
ReplyDelete3. He feels like he can finally do what he wants, and that he is free.
They rejected his invention because he was a street sweeper. That and because he also done it alone.
ReplyDelete1. He discover it by himself, the candle took forever to spread out it would take even longer for the light bulb. They fear the light bulb, and because he was a street sweeper.
ReplyDelete3. He feels free, he doesn't think he is the damned one.
