Chapter Five

1- What does Equality invent in this chapter?

  2. 1. He invents a new machine which makes working alot easier. However, this also must be kept a secret.

    2. They are feeling the emotion "curiousity", for they're wanting to know who or what they look like.

  8. 1. They invented light. They had a glass box with wires and when finished making, made a red circle of light.

    2. They seem to be curious on how they look. They used an example as if the wires were their veins making their blood flow, or the light shine. They want to know what they look like. They're curious.

  10. Now that equality is free, he is allowed to be his own person. He starts to wonder what he looks like as an individual because he doesn't have to be like everybody else anymore.

    2. He is just now curious of what he looks like because before now, he thought it was a sin to think thoughts in your own head (perhaps thoughts of what he looks like), but now that he has courage to think, he is not afraid to look at himself.

    2) Curiosity is the emotion he is feeling. He is thinking about it now because he thought it was a sin to think about this before. However since he is becoming his own person he is wondering about his appearance.
